The Luge you are currently in is traveling through thick clear polymer tubes. These tubes are incredibly durable, strong enough to withstand the pressures and strains of being buried deep underneath the ground. They are so durable and flexible that they can even withstand earthquakes. The tubing is of such a unique design that they are also practically friction free (which allows the Luges to travel at the incredible speeds that we are traveling now) They connect Road Rover Mission Control to the Rovers to the outside world.
